High production swing blade circular sawmill: Sawing options include 2010
Brand X 8 ½" cut sawhead, Lucas 60" slabbing attachment, shingle/lap siding
attachment, 4 extra saws, diamond sharpener. Power systems include 25 HP
Kohler gas engine which runs the sawhead and 10 HP Honda gas engine which
powers the hydraulic variable speed feed system. Customized improvements and
original inventions include hand held remote control which allows the sawyer
to move around the mill and operate the mill from any vantage point, hex end
setworks gearbox drive shaft which allows the gearbox to be driven with an
electric motor or hand crank. The track is custom designed to saw logs over
35’ length with clamps located next to the middle three bunks. Centerline
position can be adjusted easily by the placement of a single pin. The dogs
for the clamp are removable and can be rotated to provide a variable height
flat side clamp or a biting clamp. The control for the log clamps is at the
rear of the mill allowing the sawyer to view the changing alignment of the
log as the clamps are tightened. The log will swing as it clamped through
alignment, allowing the sawyer to choose pre, center, or post centerline
alignment. Under 100 hours. |
